It’s been a while since my last post. As we left the Starr family, Don and Jacklyn had recently found out that they were expecting another child. They already had a little girl named Druscilla.
Since the death of Darlene (Juan’s wife and Jacklyn’s mother), Juan had made a huge effort to get along with his daughter better. As was usual, Jacklyn made this very hard indeed. As he tried to talk with her, Darlene yawned loudly to let everyone know how bored she was with the conversation. It hurt Juan that his daughter acted this way…but…what could he do?
Juan loved his grandchildren and wanted to be near them. When it was his grandaughter Druscilla’s birthday, Juan joined in the celebration.
By this time, Jacklyn was due to give birth to her second child any day.
Druscilla grew into a healthy toddler, with a healthy set of lungs! She seemed to have her mother’s disposition, even though in appearance she favored her father Don.
Another girl was born to Don and Jacklyn. They named her Penelope. Penelope had inherited her mother’s unique colored skin.
Jacklyn made sure that Don helped her to care for the children. Why not? They were his kids too…and with a baby and a toddler the house was oftentimes hectic and noisy.
I don’t know if it’s just me…or bad luck…or what it is. But every time a butler has been hired it never seems to work out. They are worse than the maids I think. They just stand around and don’t do much of anything. This one stood around with his hands over his ears. Ummm….aren’t you supposed to help with the kids too?? Or something??
Anyway, he didn’t last very long.
Jacklyn and Don tried to relieve the tension with a bit of play time.
Juan likes to hang out at the graveyard…*shrugs*. He did find a death flower plant and managed to harvest a death plant. It’s in his inventory. But….since he’s already going to live so long…I need to see who he can give it to. *Makes note to myself*
*sighs* hmmmm….wonder if this is a sign of things to come….?? Druscilla resists being taught to potty and prefers to wet herself. “Jacklyn! You come and take care of this child!”
“See, this is the way it’s supposed to be done!” Don clearly favors the more easy going Penelope over the difficult Druscilla. Oh yeah…by the way…Penelope is a toddler now…I forgot to mention she had a birthday.
Grandpa Juan often gets stuck with babysitting his two grandaughters. Druscilla behaves for him most of the time, though she likes it when he carries her around everywhere. Penelope, on the other hand, loves to play with her little doll Riley. Looks like she’s getting some practice of biting Riley.
Druscilla and Penelope and both vampires.
At the Sekemoto house:
While I won’t be following this family closely any longer, I wanted to give an update:
Since the death of Sam Sekemoto’s wife Lisa (who is also the mother of Glen, Jo, Noemi, and Danna), the kids have grown up a bit.
Glen has 81 days before he becomes an adult.
Jo has 8 days before she becomes a YA.
Noemi will be a YA in 14 days.
Danna just became a teen and will be a YA in 14 days.
I don’t know about you, but I really hate the look of the vampire/ghost combination. Wonder if there’s a way to turn them to normal???
And last of all is Sam. He is coping since the death of his wife Lisa…but it has been hard. He will be an adult in 80 days. Yep…that’s right…as of now he’s only a YA. Those vampire/ghosts sure do live a long time….but just don’t let them get thirsty!
Hmmmmmmmm…….
